Broiled Flank Steak

Salt and Pepper (or Steak seasoning) |

Oven (broiler) |

Broiler pan or broiler-proof baking pan |

Chef or Santoku knife (your preference) |

Cutting board |

Preheat broiler and set rack under broiler |

Season steak on both sides with salt and pepper and/or steak seasoning |

Place steak on rack on a shallow, broiler-proof baking pan. Your standard broiler pan is perfect |

Place under broiler for 5-7 minutes or until nicely browned |

Flip to the other side and broil for another 5 minutes or until cooked to desired doneness |

Remove from broiler pan onto cutting board |

Important: Let rest for 5 minutes |

Slice thinly across the grain and on the bias |

Serve with oven-roasted potatoes or your favorite side dish |
